Sycamore Canyon has an active School Site Council (SSC) which meets monthly in the late afternoon from 3:20-4:30 p.m., usually the first Wednesday of the month. The SSC is a vital part of our staff-parent-community participation that directly influences curriculum and educational decision making. The SSC is advisory in nature; it plans, monitors and evaluates the overall school program. State funds allotted annually for the Single School Plan are distributed to programs and activities that the SSC feels best targets the needs of our Sycamore students. This is in conjunction with other support mechanisms available at and for our school. This SSP plan helps define strengths and weaknesses in the school program. In other words, the SSC uses various means to assess instructional needs, and strives to make available tools and programs to improve identified areas. Meetings are open to everyone. We encourage your input and participation.
